Jones Melling director Gary Melling has been accepted to be part of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) experts’ panel.
APIL is a not-for-profit organisation that fights for the rights of injured people by protecting and enhancing access to justice.
It also connects the profession with qualified experts to assist in cases. Being part of APIL means lawyers can search for Jones Melling’s services through its online directory of experts.
Gary said: “We work very closely with the legal profession in our role as building surveyors. Our expertise enables us to support lawyers and their clients by acting as expert witnesses and providing accommodation needs reports.
“These reports help legal teams and the courts to quantify construction, adaptation and refurbishment costs associated with medical negligence and personal injury claims.
“Being part of the experts’ panel means the legal profession can tap into our knowledge and advice as it seeks justice for clients.”
As well as supporting those that require specialist housing, such as wheelchair users and vulnerable individuals with complex needs, Jones Melling also provides advice for lawyers representing clients in Court of Protection cases, ensuring their long-term needs are met.
