Talented building surveyor, Jonathan Howson, has joined Jones Melling as part of our expansion plans for the Chester office.
Jonathan previously worked for Earl Kendrick Associates in Manchester, before joining our Chester team.
Working in the building surveying department, Jonathan will carry out building surveys on a range of commercial and residential properties. He will also take on instructions for dilapidations work and contract administration, working on all types of properties across the country.
Ken Jones, director at Jones Melling and based at the Chester office said: “We are always on the lookout for new talent. Gary and I had an immediate connection with Jonathan. He demonstrated a highly professional approach to his work. Having been brought up in a family of surveyors, it was obvious he also has a great passion for the profession.”
“Jonathan’s background in building surveying, combined with experience working on his own design and build projects, brings a unique skillset to the team. We welcome him on board to the Chester team.”
Jonathan added: “The firm offers a great opportunity for me to develop my skills and work on a broad range of projects across a great variety of sectors too. Jones Melling has an excellent reputation within the building profession and there’s a lot of scope to further my career.”
Jonathan grew up in the Lake District within a family of surveyors and property developers. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with an honour’s degree in Building Surveying and commenced his career with a local firm in the Lake District.
Outside work Jonathan is a keen cyclist and enjoys mountain bike racing. He is currently refurbishing his home in Altrincham, Cheshire.
