Accommodation Reports for medical negligence cases

Our team of experienced surveyors are often called up to provide impartial expert witness reports to assist in resolving disputes and matters before the court.

An area of expert witness in which Jones Melling has built a particular specialism is conducting Accommodation Reports, (also known as Accommodation Needs Reports) to assist lawyers and the courts in quantifying construction, adaptation and refurbishment costs associated with medical negligence claims and personal injury claims.

Recognised by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), our expert team provides Accommodation Reports which detail the accommodation needs of those requiring specialist housing, such as wheelchair users and vulnerable individuals with complex needs.

We often work with solicitors and legal professionals representing their clients in Court of Protection cases where we’re able to provide advice that ensures the long-term needs of clients and their families are fully met.

Our building surveyors deliver quality professional advice on issues such as acquiring a property and modification. This includes managing the modification work from the first design phase, all the way through to completion.
